  • Great Album But

Joe couldn't be better on this album. Woodstock has special meaning for me because I was born in the summer of 1967, in August. I grew up listening to the live 2-album set complete with the warnings about the bad brown- well, if you've heard it, you know. So where is it? C'mon Ipeople, get on it!
  • "What Would You Do If I Sang Out Of Tune?"

.."Please Hear These Words that I Speak!"..The Beatles were actually secretly rumored to make a surprise appearance at The Woodstock Music And Arts Festival and to jam with Bob Dylan & The Band!-{That never happened; But; What A Concept!}-And what an Experience Woodstock Was! (If you were there; Then you have your own story!)-For the 40th Anniversary of The Woodstock Festival (1969-2009); A series of fine recordings were Re-Issued & Re-Mastered; Featuring "The Cream Of The Crop" of that weekend's Performers: Janis Joplin; Santana; Mountain; Jefferson Airplane; Johnny Winter; Jimi Hendrix and Joe Cocker!-{We were there that Sunday Morning and Experienced Joe Cocker's (And The Grease Band!) Most Masterful set of Soulful R&B; Blues & Rock and Roll!)-All I can say is; He "Knocked Our Socks Off" Then & The 1/2 Dozen or so times we've caught his Act up to Now!-Joe Cocker (Like Elvis Presley & Ray Charles (Two big Influences!) Is a Superb Song Interperter!-Joe has covered many of Bob Dylan's and The Beatles Tunes; And transformed them "Sheffield Steel Style!"-Joe still has "Something To Say!" Grimmbo.
  • Finally!

Awesome recording that we should have been able to listen to 40 years ago. We'll probably have to wait another 40 for the video to be released.
  • Historic and wonderful!

What a wonderful and historic recording! A fabulous performance by a great, great voice. One of the most interesting things about this much-belated release is to hear Cocker's between-song remarks, which are quite humble and often funny! He even acknowledges that Bob Dylan was/would be on his way to England by cruise ship for the famed Isle of Wight festival that would take place about two weeks later. (Of course, Bob "missed the boat," but still made it to that show, if not this one!). Strongly recommended!

The best Joe Cocker is on stage and not in the recording studio. This album is best of the best.
